Welcome, Jessica Gallagher!
Jessica Gallagher
This past May, Jessica Gallagher graduated from Allegheny College with a degree in Environmental Studies and Spanish. She is originally from California, and fell in love with Northwest Pennsylvania during her 4 years at Allegheny. She decided to spend an additional year serving at the Bayfront Maritime Center. So far, she has helped plan the 2nd Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, coordinate the Project SAIL afterschool program and is excited to continue learning about working in a community non-profit.
When not at BMC, she spends her time dancing ballet, cooking new foods, drinking coffee and spending time outside.
We are pleased that our program has been chosen as a project site for the third consecutive year. Our work at the Bayfront Maritime Center demonstrates clear focus on the Americorps*VISTA mission of directly impacting undeserved children, youth and their families living in poverty. The position is funded through the Children & Youth AmeriCorps*VISTA Project of Northwestern Pennsylvania, based at Allegheny College.
