Bayfront Alternative Education Program Begins
The school year has begun at the Bayfront Alternative Education Program. The 2011 - 2012 Erie School District Alternative Education Program is a partnership between the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center, the City of Erie School District and the Bayfront Maritime Center. The program is a holistic blend of traditional and computer based academic curriculum and hands-on maritime based projects that align with the PA department of Education standards. High school students, grades 8 - 12, expelled from any of the four city high schools attend the Bayfront Alternative Education Program.
