Tenth Season of the Erie Adaptive Sailing Experience, EASE, is Underway
EASE begins its tenth season soon! We are excited about another summer of sailing with our returning participants. This adaptive sailing program, the only one in Pennsylvania, is scheduled for two 4-week sessions. The first group begins June 24th and the second begins July 22nd.
Program volunteers gathered Friday to set up the adaptive sailing fleet and to try out the new boat.
The new 2 person Access Dinghy is cat rigged and has a yellow deck.
Zoya was added to the adaptive fleet last season and is ready to go.
Erie Insurance has donated $1000 to help cover the cost of the program's insurance. Our pontoon boat, which serves as a safety/observation escort vessel, now has a quiet, new, 30 hp Nissan 4 stroke engine, thanks to the generosity of Mike and Carol Hirsch. It is wonderful to know that there are so many kind hearted people who genuinely care about these kids and put those sentiments into action.
