Erie Safe Boating Day
The Erie Safe Boating Task Force is holding the annual Erie Safe Boating Day on Saturday, June 12th, 2010. The event will be held at Wolverine Park Marina on the Erie waterfront from 9am to noon.
Boaters who attend one of three scheduled life jacket and visual distress signal briefings will be eligible to participate in the life jacket and visual distress signal exchange program. While supplies last, boaters may exchange an unwanted life jacket for a new one or expired flares for new flares (maximum of four per adult). Boaters are also encouraged to have their boat inspected by the USCG Auxiliary either at the dock or on their trailer.
The Erie Adaptive Sailing Experience, EASE, will be sailing their new Access Dinghy. EASE is the only adaptive sailing program in Pennsylvania.
