Erie Adaptive Sailing Experience, EASE, Underway for 2010
Sunday afternoon the Erie Adaptive Sailing Experience, EASE, volunteers met to organize the upcoming adaptive sailing season activities. The activities were aboard volunteer Mike and Carol Hirsch's houseboat on Horseshoe Pond. This dedicated group of volunteers are mostly professional educators and are led by Kathy and Bren Lindell. They logged over 1200 hours last season!

The EASE program sails with special needs kids for eight weeks during the summer. It is the only adaptive sailing program in Pennsylvania and has been operating in Erie for ten years. With help from a CVS Caremark Community Foundation Grant, the Ease Program will add another Access Dinghy this spring, allowing a significant expansion of the program.
