AmeriCorps VISTA Position Available at BCMS
A full-time AmeriCorps VISTA Member (Volunteers in Service to America) will serve to develop new aspects of our existing projects that address the needs of children, youth and families living in poverty. The position involves developing and facilitating training sessions, recruiting and supporting volunteers, fundraising, grant writing, public relations work and some participation in our maritime programming. A VISTA serves full-time for one year beginning in August.
Recent graduates gain the kind of real-world experience you can not find in a typical entry-level job. Experienced adults apply their skills and knowledge to serious social problems and discover previously untapped strengths.
