Del Caryl Sailing School

Have you always wanted to learn to sail? Here is your chance! Sailing classes are forming now at the Erie area's only US Sailing Keelboat certified school. The BCMS crew offers instruction for the novice and intermediate sailors alike.

"Once you have spent time under sail, you will notice that people on sailboats tend to wave at each other. For many, sailing is a passion to be enjoyed for a lifetime. Ours is a sport that brings people together. A larger reward is often the places you go and the people you meet. To maximize your enjoyment on the water, you must have confidence in yourself, your boat, equipment and crew." --Gary Jobson

Fifteen hours of instruction cover: Parts of the boat; How sails work; Basic sail trim; Basic sailing directions; Changing direction; Tacking; Jibing; Steering; Starting and Stopping; Knots; Reefing; Anchoring; Basic Naviagation Rules; Safety and Emergency procedures, and MORE!

Cost: $650 for the Sailing Course, $700 for the US Keelboat Certification
